Sorry folks for not keeping up on things. I have been traveling and training and teaching all over the world which has left very little time to maintain the site as I’d like. That said, I have also been working in the lab between trips to develop some exciting new products.
To start with, I entered into a joint project with Jos Broere of AquaCam.NL. Jos is an engineer extraordinaire and developer of a “flip” mounting system for FireDiveGear (FDG) strobe excitation filters. At this time we have mounts for the INON series and Sea & Sea YSD1 strobes. Ikelite DS160/161, and Sea & Sea YS01,02,03 strobes are in development. Check them out in the products section under excitation – strobe filters. AquaCam.NL will also be selling these mounts with FDG filters in the European market so go to his site to buy them if you are in Europe and want to save on shipping charges. If you contact me from Europe, I’ll send you to him.
Next we have an alternative to the more expensive versions of “flip” barrier filters for the Go Pro 3, 3+ and 4 cameras from our competitors. They are the same quality, just not as pricey. You can find those under the products – filters – camera filters section.
Lastly, we have a new “Big Dog” torch call the Blue Extreme. This unit puts out a whopping 50 watts of power in the blue spectrum and has a 150 degree beam angle to light up the entire reef. See it under the products – torches section.
I’ll be in Florida for most of the remainder of July doing another PADI Instructor Development course. In August I’ll be in North Carolina becoming a SSI Instructor Trainer.
I’m working on a new and completely revised version of the PADI Fluorescent Night Diver Specialty course with much more content and new images. This course will also be modified and written to SSI standards for their use also so be on the lookout for the release of that.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions – PLEASE don’t hesitate to contact us.
